It's Your Bird-day!

Today is my Grandma's 84th birthday. My daughter and I made this card for her to celebrate. She did all of the embossing with my cuttlebug. She chose to use the divine swirl, spots & dots and swiss dots folders. The cardstock is from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Tweetie Hoo Puns set. We added a gem that I picked up at Michaels, and I used a little bit of stickles on the party hat. The cricut cut is from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. Thanks for looking!

Whale Done!

I made this card tonight while I was playing around in my craft room. The cardstock is all stuff from Creative Memories. The whale and the sun are both on the Create a Critter cartridge. I used three cuttlebug folders:  divine swirl, swiss dots and spots & dots. The sentiment is another cute stamp from Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals set. Thanks for looking!

Monday Morning

I was playing around with the Simply Charmed cartridge last night and finished this card this morning. I used patterned paper from Wal-mart and cardstock from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon and brads came from Hobby Lobby. I used my spots & dots and heart blocks cuttlebug folders. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals stamp set, which I love! I added stickles to the little bugs cheeks and randomly to the hearts on the patterned paper. Thanks so much for looking! Have a blessed day!

A Gift Box

I made this gift box for my nephew's birthday party tomorrow. I have never made one before, so I decided to give it a shot. I used my Martha Stewart scoring board to make a 6"x6"x3" box and lid. I used K and Company cardstock for the lid and stuff from Creative Memories for everything else. The birthday cake and the sentiment were all from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I used divine swirls and swiss dot embossing folders to add some dimension. Thanks for looking!

My Pink Stamper's Blog Hop

I made this card for the first ever My Pink Stamper blog hop.
I used cardstock from Creative Memories. The cricut cut was from the Create a Critter cartridge. I inked the edges and the sentiment with Tim Holtz distress inks. The cuttlebug folders that I used were swiss dots and divine swirl. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set. I used icicle stickles on the cherry, and I popped up the cupcake and the cherry with pop dots. Thanks so much for looking!

My Daughter's First Card

My seven-year old daughter just made this card (with just a little bit of help from me) for her best friend! She is going to add a picture, but we left that off for now because she wanted to post it on my blog. She used cardstock from Die Cuts With a View All Dressed Up mat stack. We used the Hannah Montana cartridge for the letters, and she used the heart blocks cuttlebug folder. Thanks for looking!

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge

I saw a really fun challenge today at Scrappy Moms and since I just received my Birthday Bash cartridge, I thought I would join in the fun! The challenge was to use Birthday Bash if you had it (or a similar cut if you don't have that cartridge). All of my cuts were from that cartridge, including the card. I embossed the red layer with my spots and dots cuttlebug folder. All of my cardstock is from Creative Memories. I popped up the elephant and used quite a bit of icicle stickles. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Designers Choice set. Thanks for looking!

Glittermania!

I made this card for the glittermania challenge at Cooking With Cricut because I love glitter! Well, I especially love stickles! The cardstock is from K and Company. I used the sweethearts cartridge for the cricut cut, but I flipped it the other direction on my gypsy. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set. I used Icicle stickles, and the gems were from Michael's. Thanks for looking!

A quick Valentine's Card

I made this card using cardstock from K and Company and Creative Memories. The hearts were cricut cuts from the sweethearts cartridge. It's hard to tell but I stickled a few of the hearts on the background cardstock. I also embossed the white heart with my cuttlebug, but I think it is impossible to see in the picture. Sorry. The stamp is in Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals set. Thanks for looking!

Scrappy Mom stamp sets

So, the Scrappy Mom stamp sets that I ordered the other day came yesterday, and I couldn't resist playing around with them! : ) I ordered Amusing Animals and Designer's Choice. I really love their stamp sets. I thought they stamped really well. Anyway, since it is snowing today in Michigan, I wanted to make a wintry card. Here it is:

I used cardstock from Creative Memories and the patterned paper was something that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I used glitter paper from Die Cuts with a View for the snowman and the snowflakes. The cricut cuts were from Gypsy Wanderings and Doodlecharms. The ribbon was one I grabbed at Target, and as I said, the stamp was from Scrappy Moms Amusing Animals set. Thanks for looking!

Finally!

I have had a very productive weekend, although it was slightly frustrating. We had decided to move my crafty space to a room of its own that wasn't getting very much use from my children. Previously I had my stuff on one side of their playroom. But, the boys wanted to claim that side as their own since their sister has kind of overtaken the other half. Anyway, we spent most of Saturday carrying things up and down the stairs to get everything switched around. Once we were done (mostly) I just had to make a card! I got it all designed in my gypsy, loaded my the paper onto my mat and then disaster struck. I got an error message that said my gypsy detected a security breach and I would have to contact provocraft support. Of course this was Saturday, and they only have office hours during the week. I was so sad. So after waiting on hold for almost an hour today and reformatting my gypsy this afternoon, I was finally able to cut out my card!

Here is the inside:

I used printed cardstock from K and Company. The rest of the cardstock is from Creative Memories, including the pre-embossed green one. The card and all of the cricut cuts were from the Just because cartridge and the Straight from the Nest cartridge. I stamped the sentiment using My Pink Stamper's tweetie hoo puns set. Thanks for looking!

More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday Color Challenge

Okay, I couldn't sleep last night so I was dreaming up what I could do with this challenge at More Than Favors. But have you ever had such a difficult time accomplishing what in your head seemed to be such a fairly simple thing? Oh my goodness, this card gave me fits today. I just couldn't make it work the way I wanted it to, but here it is in a drastically different form from what I planned. My kids and I decided that we liked it when it was finished, but was it worth the headache? I don't know! : )

I used cardstock, ribbon, and brads from Hobby Lobby. I cut the butterfly with my brand-new Storybook cartridge. I used my cuttlebug to add some dimension, and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set. Thanks so much for looking!

Throwback Thursday Challenge @ My Creative Time

I saw this challenge at My Creative Time and decided to play along. The challenge is to use an older cartridge and a heart. One of my goal's this year is to try to use all of my cricut cartridges (and all of the other stuff that is sitting unused in my crafty space!). So, since I had never used my sweetheart cartridge, I decided to use that one, too. I tried to keep this card very simple. I used my gypsy to weld two hearts together to make the card. The heart and the other cricut cuts were all made from the sweetheart cartridge. I used Die Cuts with a View glitter mat stack and cardstock from Hobby Lobby. Super fast and easy! Thanks!

Another card

I have lots of occasions to celebrate this month, which is keeping me very busy in my crafty space! Yeaaa!!! I made this card because my friend just had a new baby. I used coredinations paper, some scrappy cat paper and cardstock from Hobby Lobby. I sanded the coredinations paper after I put it through my cuttlebug. The cricut cuts were from 3 Birds on Parade. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's tweetie hoo puns set, and I used icicle stickles. Thanks so much for looking! Enjoy the rest of your day!

It's Snowing!

Well, I woke up to some light snow falling and decided it was a perfect day to make a snow themed card. I am going to put this card in a few challenges. I have never done this before, so we shall see how it goes! I used Die Cuts with a View Glitter Mat Stack and cardstock from Hobby Lobby. All of the cricut cuts were from Winter Frolic, and I used icicle stickles on the snowflakes. I stamped the snowman's face with a stamp from the Peachy Keen everyday character face stamp set. Thanks for looking!
Here are the challenges:

My first post!

Here is a thank you card I made last night for my dog's groomer because she did a fantastic job on him this weekend. I decided to use it for my first ever blog post! I used create a critter for the dog and the dog house, and then walk in my garden for the sentiment. Oh, the grass was from gypsy wanderings! The card stock was from my local craft store, and of course I used just a little bit of stickles! Thanks!
